Governing Council of GM Legacy School
At GM Legacy School, effective governance is central to maintaining high academic standards, ethical management, and continuous institutional improvement. In accordance with CBSE norms and guidelines, the school is guided by a duly constituted Governing Council that advises and supports the School Principal and School Administration.
The Governing Council functions as an advisory and oversight body to ensure that the school operates in alignment with the vision of the Srishyla Education Trust, the regulations of CBSE, and the principles of NEP 2020.

Roles and Functions
- Advise the Principal and Management on academic planning and school development.
- Ensure compliance with CBSE regulations, state rules, and statutory requirements.
- Review and guide matters related to curriculum implementation and assessment practices.
- Support policies on student welfare, discipline, safety, and inclusivity.
- Approve major academic initiatives and institutional development plans.
- Review annual academic performance and school progress reports.
- Promote transparency, accountability, and good governance.
Tenure and Terms
1. Term of Office
- The Governing Council shall have a term of three (3) years.
- Members shall be eligible for re-nomination or re-appointment.
2. Meetings
- The Council shall meet at least twice a year.
- Special meetings may be convened as required.
3. Quorum
- Presence of one-third of the total members shall constitute a quorum.
4. Decision Making
- Decisions shall be taken by consensus or majority vote.
- The Principal shall act as the Member Secretary.
5. Removal / Resignation
- Any member may resign by written notice.
- The Management reserves the right to replace members.
6. Code of Conduct
- Members shall maintain confidentiality and integrity.
- Deliberations shall be in the best interest of students.
