The story of GM Legacy School begins with a deep commitment to education and community service that has been nurtured in the region for over two decades by the Srishyla Education Trust, Davanagere.
Establishment of GMIT
Our journey in education started with the establishment of GM Institute of Technology (GMIT), a respected engineering and technology institution known for its high academic standards, industry linkages, and quality teaching. GMIT has become a pillar of higher technical education in Central Karnataka, accredited by national bodies and affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University.
Decades of Expansion
Building on this success, the Trust expanded its educational mission with the founding of a series of institutions across disciplines—from pharmacy and sciences to commerce and management—always prioritising excellence, infrastructure, and student development.
Birth of GM University
In 2023, this long-standing commitment to holistic education culminated in the creation of GM University, established by an act of the State of Karnataka. GM University brought together these academic endeavours under one umbrella and further widened the scope of learning opportunities by offering diverse undergraduate, postgraduate, and research programs. GM University’s growth reflects the Trust’s vision of providing accessible, high-quality education.
A New Chapter: GM Legacy School
Inspired by this legacy of educational excellence and community impact, GM Legacy School has been envisioned as the Trust’s newest contribution to formative education. The school aims to extend the same values, dedication, and quality of learning to the foundational stages of a child’s life. With a modern, NEP-aligned approach to schooling, GM Legacy School will nurture young learners to become confident, compassionate, and capable citizens.
